first day of Semester 2 today.

My relatively slack timetable actually enabled me to reach school one hour early for class (at 3pm), so i met up with Jyings and caught up with her a little bit. Contemporary Issues (IS) was good, I have a German teacher who is a qualified archeologist and museum curator. WOW.

So anyway, I've been wanting to make use of the multi purpose hanger my mom got me from Ikea. A few months ago, i found my mom's collection of belts, hidden in her closet. Going through them I discovered some really vintage and interesting ones that clearly steer away from the norms (or what you call the far east plaza belts =p). Putting our belts together, we clearly have many many many many many.
the photo does not do the actual amount justice at all, lol.

One bad thing about leather is that it wears out after long periods of time, especially when not in use. I picked up this corduroy waist belt, pretty and all, but the back was flaking really badly.

yes, okay i believe the photo says it all.

Did a little work, a little vacuuming, and the belt is clean and usable again!

tada~

I decided to categorize the belts so that everything would be more systematic. Okay from this photo it really does look like there are alot of belts right!

After half an hour of hanging~

The hanger is now awfully and insanely heavy i could do weights with it. No surprize, the initial (clothes) hanger used to hold up the belts is now in the bin because it is stretched beyond hanger shape. From the photo it still looks messy and you probably dont see how i slung it in each hole so that one belt flaps over another and they are all pretty damn easy to remove. Also from left to right, the colours go from dark to light, then colourful! ;D

So exciting! or am i only the one -___-

p/s: I wanted to blog the details of the more interesting ones but I'm tired and its 2am.
p/p/s: I realized i should have counted the number of belts while i was hanging them, oh well -o-

returned to NRA today after quite some time. Thanks to Wenmei and Sijia for teaching me the steps before the actual class. Felt pretty demoralized after I was commented on having a couple of very silly mistakes, but Becca's lil talk at the end of the class actually made me feel alot better. I can totally see my own problem, the whole image consciousness shit, how i only do the stuff i know i can and look okay/good doing. That leaves me with my weak points unpracticed so they never ever get to improve.

So silly right! I'm very sure I'm not afraid of failure, so it's just that whole thing i mentioned that i need to overcome. I should know better than to feel upset over someone picking out my mistakes! I did that too to my little tots when i was still coaching ballet and it's not that they're lousy or anything, pointing out the mistakes just help them to realize where/what's wrong, how they should improve and then they will, after practicing.

Okay the above two paragraphs might make me sound highly retarded but thats just a mental note to self so dont mind it. Also, I never knew that that many people would actually realize that i haven't been turning up. It's pretty heartwarming. Go, Go, Go, Juu.
